In the distance, it appeared as if the shadows came to life and were walking closer to us. As they approached, the ghost figures were actually elephants that had a sunrise bath in a nearby salt pan and were heading for some shade. Hot on their heels was a lone lion, who was also seeking some shade. This was a spectacular sighting and a great way to start our day during a morning game drive in Etosha National Park.
