Standing on the edge of a steep drop and looking into a thunderous waterfall that is famously known as the Musi-O-Tunya (the smoke that thunders) had the adrenalin pumping through my body as the water spray washed my soul - there's something to be said about the "magical" effects that Mother Nature has on us. Our stay in the Victoria Falls was nostalgic and in our 3-night stay we saw massive elephants that walked freely amongst the ancient baobab trees, the longest crocodiles fearlessly swimming the Zambezi River….. and had the best ever massages!

Moving from The Victoria Falls, our guide transferred us across the border and into Botswana where we were heading for a 3-night luxury houseboat water safari. Luckily, we covered ourselves for a multi visa because the houseboat launches on the Namibian side, but cruises in Botswana’s Chobe area. What an amazing experience as we glided on the Zambezi River. In our opinion, we had experienced the most magnificent sunsets and sunrises from the Zambezi ever!

Nice and tanned, we were collected from the houseboat and transported by road to Kasane Airport, where we boarded a charter flight to our lodge in the Okavango Delta. We loved that we were going to be in a remote place, surrounded by nature for the next 4 nights. Our experience was etched into our hearts! This regal experience was out of a novel, as we wined and dined under the African sky that filled our souls with the earth’s energies. Sounds from roaring lions, trumpeting elephants and grunting hippos all filled the nights' playlist as we slept in our luxurious beds. Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY!

Our journey ended with a bump back into reality as we made our way to Cape Town. In keeping with our water theme, we stayed in a hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with jaw-dropping views. We drank the world's best wines and explored the Cape, shopping up a storm over our last 3 nights of our South African Water Safari Adventure.
