This recipe has the perfect sweet and savoury flavour and can be used for any meat, chops or sausages and can be halved, or doubled. I usually halve it for a few steaks or a piece of fillet. Once the ingredients are mixed together in a bowl I like to transfer it to a ziplock bag and then add the meat and seal. I find this works better as I don’t have to turn the meat as the marinade covers all parts of the meat, whereas if it is left in a bowl I have to turn the meat every now and then.
*Recipe provided by Shades of Cinnamon Ingredients: 50 ml balsamic vinegar 75 ml olive oil 75 ml Worcestershire sauce 50 ml soya sauce 2 tbsp honey 1 tbsp mustard 3 cloves garlic, crushed ( or 1 teaspoon of roasted garlic paste) 1/2 tsp black pepper, crushed
Instructions: Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl.
Add the meat and allow to marinade for a couple of hours.
The marinade can be put into a bowl and the meat added, but make sure to turn it occasionally to cover the meat.
Alternatively, pour the marinade into a Ziplock bag and add the meat and seal.
